2016 Janet W. Bayne-Williams passed away at her home June 25, 2016. After high school, she received a Masters degree in Education from OSU. Jan taught in Montessori schools in 3 states, eventually settling back in Ponca City where she taught English to Special Ed students. Jan was an avid reader and known to work miracles in her garden, where you could probably find her on any given day. She made beautiful stained glass windows, and also loved frequenting and hosting yard sales.
2015 Ted Beard passed away on Feb 17, 2015. He was a retired firefighter.

2006 Beverly S. Cardwell-Latting passed away on Jan 25, 2006. She had a 43 year career in the travel industry. She is survived by her husband, her mother and sister.

2013 Diane E. Davis-McLearan passed away on Jun 24, 2013. She is survived by her daughter and grandson, a brother and sister.
1975 Betty C. Day and her husband were killed in an auto accident in 1975. They left two children, a daughter and a son.

2005 Ronnie Duncan was killed by a hit and run driver, with a drug use background. Ron was a drug rehab counselor. He was riding his motorcycle near 31st and Yale on September 5, 2005 when he was hit. He died a short time later.
2009 Robert R. Farnsworth passed away on Dec 17, 2009. He served his country in the US Army, receiving an honorable discharge. He was a retired Sun Oil accountant.

1988 O. Royce Harris passed away on Nov 2, 1988. He attended Hale until August, 1962. He was a trumpet player in the Hale Marching 100. He would have graduated with Hale's Class of '63, but his family was transferred to Midland, Texas.

Jerry Hurt was born on August 22, 1945 and passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016. Jerry was a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the time of his passing. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 6 2016 at Grace Freewill Baptist Church 12323 145th East Avenue Broken Arrow Oklahoma 74011. Pastor Jason Hutsell will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery Ft. Gibson Oklahoma.
Vernon Orville Jackson, Jr., retired funeral home owner and director, was born December 23, 1944 in Lake Forrest, Illinois. Vernon passed away on April 27, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tulsa’s Nathan Hale High School in 1963. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Central State College and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He also earned a doctorate in funeral service education from the National Academy of Mortuary Science.
2010 Linda Jones-Traw passed away on Mar 19, 2010. After high school she earned an education degree at NSU. The family moved to Houston in 1979, where Linda continued her career as a business teacher in Cypress Fairbanks ISD. She retired in 2006, and continued to work in the family business, Traw Machine Works. She is survived by 2 sons, 2 grandchildren and a sister.
1969 C. John Keahey, III was killed in South Vietnam on Jun 8, 1969. 2nd Lieutenant Keahey was an Infantry Unit Commander, serving with the US Army, Co D, 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry.
2015 Carol B. Keene-Hunt passed away on Sept 30, 2015. After high school she attended TU and toured with their Modern Choir for 4 years. She received her BA degree in Special Education and taught school in Kansas City before returning to Tulsa, where she worked for the Tulsa City-County Library. In Orange, TX, Carol was active in animal rescue and the Audubon Society. She was a member of the Tulsa Opera Chorus, the Omaha Symphonic Chorus and others. Survived by her husband & 3 children.
2016 Larry Kyle passed away on Oct 28, 2016 in Louisiana.
