1995 From the Lewiston, Idaho Tribune: The funeral for William V. Accola, III, the University of Idaho telephone systems manager, will be Friday, August 4, 1995 at the Moscow Church of the Nazarene.
2006 Paul Henry Archerd, 62, of Cleveland, OK, passed away January 9, 2006. In 1975, Paul graduated from TU with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1983, Paul established Paul H. Archerd Inc., a chemical engineering consulting firm which took him to many places around the world. He loved to spend his time away from the office at his cabin south of Meramec. He and his wife also enjoyed taking trips to Arkansas, when he wasn't in his woodworking shop.
2012 Retired Director of Museums for the City of Las Cruces, Sharon Bode-(Hempton) Coker, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Mesilla Valley Hospice following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Her artwork has been featured in exhibitions all over the United States, as well as Peru, Montreal, Quebec, and Mexico. She was later a recipient of the Governor's Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women.

2015 Ralph Clayton Brown Jr was born Jan 2, 1943 and passed away Jan 10, 2015. Ralph (aka “Brownie”) was a Captain in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He flew 230 missions and was awarded a Purple Heart after he was shot down during his service. In later years he was active with Veterans groups.

2014 Howard West Feterly, Lewisville, TX formerly of Tulsa passed away July 12, 2014 after a long illness. After high school, he attended Northeastern State Univ in Miami, OK. Howard played football for Hale, Rogers & NSU. He was employed by Rockwell Int’l for many years, eventually managing their IT dept.
2012 Mike D. Fowler passed away on July 3, 2012 in Tulsa. He served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Boxer with two tours of duty in Vietnam. Mike worked at American Airlines for several years and later was self-employed in the trucking business. He is survived by his mother, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, a brother and 2 sisters.
2015 Kenneth Lowell Frakes, of Tulsa, died on June 18, 2015. He earned a Journalism degree at TU while working a full time job. He then used that degree as a writer & editor at many companies/organizations through the years, including the Tulsa World and TU. Ken was the first and only two-year drum major for the Nathan Hale Marching Band. His love and knowledge of music lasted a lifetime.

2016 Joyce M. Hert-Jones passed away on February 28, 2016. She was a self-employed medical transcriptionist. Joyce married the love of her life, Bruce R. Jones, on December 17, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, a sister & two brothers, 2 daughters, a son, 5 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
2007 from Tulsa World 5/27/07: Millard "Sonny" Hunt 63, Unit Rig material handler, died Friday, May 25th.
1968 Michael Lee McGuire, US Navy Electronics Tech 1st Class, born Dec 22, 1943 in Kansas City, MO was lost with the 99 man crew aboard the submarine, USS Scorpion, on May 22, 1968, approximately 400 miles SW of the Azores. There is still no incontrovertible proof of the cause of Scorpion’s loss, but there have been several books written, including “Silent Steel” by Stephen Johnson, and “All Hands Down” by Ken Sewell.
2006 Wesley L. Miller, 63, passed away Oct 5, 2006, in Broken Arrow, OK. He was born Nov 30, 1942, in Cushing, OK. Wes was a retired corporate representative for Kraft Foods, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a 32 degree Mason and Shriner. He is survived by his wife, 4 sons and 7 grandchildren.
