She went on to receive her M.A. in Learning Disabilities from Northwestern in Evanston, IL. Julia earned her Ph.D. from the School of Psychology at OSU. Most of her professional career was spent as a School Psychologist with Jenks Public Schools. She was named Oklahoma School Psychologist of the Year for 1998.
