This special section of the Alumni web site will document the Hale Rangers sports history through the years.

It will give Ranger Alumni a chance to look back and remember all those great sporting events AND show today's Ranger athletes the history and legacy that they have to live up to.

If you have photos, newspaper clippings, films, or anything else that you would like to donate, or that we could make copies of, please contact us: info@NathanHaleAlumni.org

The Rangers have a young team and a tough schedule this year, and we were well behind for most of this first game of the season - a scrimmage between the Rangers and the Central Braves.

This amazing play, in the final 2 minutes, just about sent all of the Ranger fans down onto the field to celebrate!  On the following play, Central fumbled and we recovered it and quickly made another touchdown.

September 2007: This Fall we were able to contribute another $350 to Hale's athletic dept.  This money came from the sale of football game DVDs over the past year.

The check was presented to Hale's Athletic Director, Tony Peters.  He was grateful to receive this support from Hale alumni.

Their budget was cut again this year because they are no longer getting pop money that they counted on for a variety of team needs.

Head Football Coach, Kevin Busch, told me recently that they need a new blocking sled for their training program and would ideally like to have a 5-man sled.

We've located a company that sells a modular sled that could be purchased in stages as funds become available.

Check them out at: www.hadarathletic.com/blocking_sleds.htm and let us know if you can help.

1962-63 Rangers

Nathan Hale basketballers climaxed a great season by competing in the State Tournament in Oklahoma City.  Claiming the first Oklahoma Seven Conference basketball crown, and compiling a record of fifteen wins and only five losses, the best in the school's history, the Rangers emerged as the city's top team.

Ranger fans had many tense, thrilling moments during the season as the team proved its ability to win the tough games.  This was evidenced by a heart-pounding one point decision over Oklahoma Seven contender, Central, and by a great effort which topped league leader Muskogee, gaining a tie for the loop leader at that time.

Hale's stellar guards, Gary Moore and Jim Linn, were honored on the all-city and all-conference teams of the Tulsa World, at the end of the season.

Coach Woody West will have seven returning lettermen including Linn, and guard Ray Zuniga, and with a fine group of sophomores this years, the Rangers should be touch again in '64.
