Kelly Walters, a
third-grade teacher at Ator Elementary, has been named the
district teacher of the year for 2005-06.
The announcement was made by Dr. Clark
Ogilvie, superintendent, at Monday night's board of education
meeting. Walters' principal, Dianna
Bishline, introduced her building
teacher of the year and told why she deserved the honor.
Walters began her teaching
career at Ator in 2000 and is involved in many activities at the
school, including yearbook advisor, "Can Wars" and the third-grade
World Fair.
She and her husband, Richard,
have two daughters, Rylie and Rinzey.
Walters said it was an honor to
work in Owasso. "I'm blessed teaching at Ator with so many amazing
teachers," she said. |
