Karen
George-Lafferty graduated in 1987 from Hale. She was one of
"Jerry's Kids". She died on Christmas morning 2006.
She went to the University of Miami, graduated with highest honors in 1992. |

She was working
for the U of M when Hurricane Andrew came ashore, destroying
everything she had. She moved back to Tulsa and started a career
with the "Cable" company...she worked there until her death.
Karen was a person who lived life to the fullest, not ever letting a silly little thing like being in a wheelchair slow her down one bit. She was a force of Nature and we miss her with all our hearts.

| Payton attended Nathan Hale since his freshman year, the fall of 1983. Payton would have walked across the stage with the Senior Class of 1987 but his life was taken in a tragic automobile accident Sunday morning, May 10th. Payton will be greatly missed by his schoolmates who express their deepest sympathy for his family members and those who loved him dearly. - submitted by Cole Hackney |
