Five dead after small plane crash

A small plane on its way to Dallas for the University of Oklahoma football game crashed into Chandler Park amid foggy conditions Saturday morning, killing all five Tulsans aboard.

Dr. Stephen Lester, his wife Dana Roberts-Lester, their daughters 16-year-old Laura and 13-year-old Christina and another doctor, Ken Veteto, all died at the scene, family members said.

David Ryan Peterson, 37, passed away in Tahlequah, OK on November 20, 1999.

Born in Tulsa, OK on March 12, 1962. David was an Eagle Scout and member of Order of the Arrow. He served on the staff at Camp Garland for five summers.

David was a graduate of Hale High School and Oklahoma State Tech with a degree in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment Repair and was employed by Ryder Truck before establishing Pete's Diesel Service.

Since 1993 he was associated with the film industry working in transportation and as a stunt man. David was a member of Teamsters and Screen Actors Guild and Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

David is survived by: a son, a daughter, his parents, Robert L. and Marilyn Peterson; maternal grandmother, 2 sisters, Sonja Radford and Julia Musa; 3 nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Interment is at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Sadly, 20 year old Suzanne Jones-Logan, who had been married just nine months, was the victim of serial killer, Christopher Wilder, who went on a cross country killing spree early in 1984.

Kevin Alan George

Kevin was born St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1961, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2004.  Born with a frail heart, but a heart that was loving and "big"; and this was expressed in many ways to his family and friends.  A 1980 graduate of Hale, he attended OSU Technology School in Okmulgee earning an Associate degree in Graphic Arts.  For the last 13 years he was employed with Cendant/Avis Rental where he expressed much appreciation and enjoyment of his co-workers and his many other circle of friends.  His generosity was demonstrated each year by fundraising and purchasing Christmas gifts for the children at the Laura Dester Children's Shelter.
