We
were very proud to have
Debbie Carr-Dover and her granddaughter as our special
guests in the 2007 Boo Ha Ha parade. Debbie was one of those
cute little girls sitting on the hood of the Belvedere, back in '57,
just before it was buried.
With all the excitement of the Oklahoma Centennial and the opening
of the Tulsa-Rama vault and time capsule, we felt that she was the
perfect Ranger to be our honored alumnus during the parade. Thanks
also goes to Joe Reidy, Class of '81,who volunteered to be
her escort during the parade.
Greg Schober is a member of a very
popular band in Oregon called "The Touchables".
From the band's bio:
For those of us old enough to remember the late
1960s, The Touchables show is a foot tappin’, feel good, fast-paced
trip down memory lane. For the younger generation, The Touchables
deliver an up-close and personal history lesson on the roots of
classic Rock and Roll.
According to their
web site, the band's history includes gigs with these
nationally-known artists:

According to a recent
article in the Tulsa World, the museum is in the process of moving nearly
a dozen classic and antique aircraft, and thousands of historic
photographs, books and other Oklahoma aviation memorabilia to a newly
constructed $2.4 million facility on the north edge of Tulsa International
Airport, just south of the entrance to Mohawk Park at 36th Street North.
A $2.9 million companion planetarium
at the same site is expected
to be open in March, 2006.
The museum is not just about
airplanes. Other exhibits include a space shuttle replica, a working
model of the space shuttle robotic arm, a wind tunnel, hot air balloon,
computer simulation lab, aerospace library and historic artifacts
