Thomas E. COYLE Jr. went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 5, 2010. Tom was born in 1950 in Tulsa, OK to Thomas Edward Coyle and Bernice Martindale-Coyle, who preceded him in death.

Thomas was a safety supervisor for 20 years in a AtoChem North America and he owned Video Showcase, before retiring in 1990. Tom was a HAM radio operator, he chased tornados, built model planes and loved to sing music from the 50's, or Gospel and sang in Barbershop Quartets. He enjoyed the thrills from NASCAR races and was a open wheel enthusiast and mechanic. He enjoyed computer technology, and fishing all night long!

Tom leaves behind his significant other, Bobbi L. Kohn; son, Brian Coyle; granddaughter, Emily Ann Coyle; extended family, Scott Kohn, Randy Kohn, Carey Baker, "honorary" grandchildren, Lennon, Allison, Andrew, Joshua, Holly and Savannah. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Trisha Ann Coyle, and brother; Robert Coyle [Class of 1974].

Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in the funeral home; interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. VELETTA DIANE ROE-PEARCE, 51, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2001 in Tulsa, OK. Born November 20, 1949 in Tulsa, OK. She was a 1968 graduate of Hale High School.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, 4 grandchildren, her parents, a sister, a niece and her husband, and a great-nephew.

Service will be 12 Noon, Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Family suggests contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Daniel Lee Bohn was born Dec. 19, 1949, at Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Bohn and Irene Riker-Bohn.

He died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at the Oklahoma City Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City.


He graduated from Hale High School before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. Injured in Vietnam, he was presented with the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with a "V" among other citations. He made his living operating Green Country Video.

He was preceded in death by his father.  He is survived by a son and a daughter, his mother, three brothers, four grandchildren, as well as a multitude of extended family and life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, if possible, please plant a tree in memory of Dan. He was fond of pecan trees. Memories may be shared with the family at www.bixbyfuneralservice.com.

A memorial service was held for Daniel Lee Bohn on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Rivercrest Chapel in Bixby, Oklahoma.

 

Michael Bohnsack, 56, "Bonz" to many local musicians, died on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, in his wife's arms in Orlando, Florida.

Michael played keyboards for many local bands such as Tweed, BlueStreak, and XL. He toured with local celebrities, Gus Hardin and Ronnie Dunn.

Michael was raised in the Tulsa area and graduated from Hale High School. He enjoyed the fraternity life at Oklahoma State University before transferring to Oklahoma University in Norman, where he majored in Music Composition.


His love of music carried him around the world and settled him in Orlando, playing keyboards for Universal Studios. His talent allowed him to take the "road less traveled" and his charisma and passion, will be sorely missed by his loved ones and friends.

He has been survived by: his wife, a daughter and his grand-daughter; his mother, a sister and brother.  He was preceded by his father.

 


John (Jay) Beeman

John (Jay) Eldred Beeman was born to Eldred E. and Namoi T. Beeman on October 24, 1950 in Casper, WY.  He passed away at his home in Ellenboro, NC on February 13, 2005.  Jay graduated in 1968 from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, OK.  After graduation, he was a DJ in College Station, TX for a few month before joining and proudly serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.  During his lifetime he ran several small businesses, repairing equipment, and was a very proud father.  Jay was preceded in death by his parents and leaves behind his fiancée, Janice James (Jett '69), a brother, Ralph Beeman (Hale '72) of Victoria, TX; two daughters, two stepchildren and three grandchildren.

 

Don 'George' Metevelis, 53, of Cleveland, OH, a Tulsa native, passed away on June 2, 2004.  He was born August 18, 1950 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Don G. and Marina Metevelis.  He attended Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from Nathan Hale High School in 1968.  He received a Bachelor's degree from OU in Metallurgical Engineering and his Master's degree from St. Thomas University, St Paul, MN.  He was an Engineer with FOSECO, Inc.  He did presentations on metal development at NASA and foundries throughout the world.  He is survived by a wife and two sons.
