Dr. Mike Moody left this earthly home on January 1, 2010, at his home in Shawnee, OK.

Mike was born August 29, 1949, to J. T. (Jake) Jr. and Betty (McKnight) Moody in Vinita Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, and a sister, Janie Gore [c/o 1970], and infant daughter, Jessica.

He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friend of 36 years, John Pojman.
Mike practiced his beloved Osteopathic Medical profession in Waynoka, OK; Oklahoma City, OK; Ardmore, OK; and Shawnee, OK.

Memorial service 3 pm, Saturday, January 9, at Floral Haven Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Oklahoma Foundation for Osteopathic Medicine at 4848 N. Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73105, a foundation that Mike supported and served on for many years or the charity / cause of their choice.

Editor's Note:
Mike & Barbara were early supporters of the Nathan Hale Alumni Foundation, making a substantial donation when we were raising funds for a new auditorium sound system.  Mike was also a frequent sponsor of our annual golf tournament, which is the main source of funding for the scholarships that we give to current students every year.

We hope other former Rangers will follow his example and support the work of the NHAF, especially during these trying times for our public schools.

Sherry Lynn Osborn-Lord, 59, born in Tulsa, OK, April 2, 1949, completed her journey to her heavenly home on December 19, 2008, with a host of loved ones gathered around her. Her faith never wavered in the midst of her 4 plus years battle with metastatic breast cancer. Sherry was preceded in her death by her father, Marion Thomas Osborn.
She is survived by: her husband and the love of her life, Thomas W. Lord; her mother, Geraldine Osborn; sister, Shirley Reed; brothers, Wayne and Riley Osborn; and the families of her loving children, Karen and Roy Lyons, Deanna and Allen Craddock, Edward and Shyla Lord, Sandra and Reid Neff, and Wade Center.

Her smile and laughter will be missed by each of her 11 grandchildren and everyone who knew her. Each of the many lives Momma-Sherry touched learned the meaning of unconditional love, a mother's comfort, and family unity. In this, her legacy is forever shared.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Tulsa Chapter Susan G. Komen Foundation in her memory.
