Editor's Note:  I have rescued quite a few early Patriot yearbooks being sold on eBay over the past 3 years - and I'm a fan of our former Ranger, Gary Busey, but this guy must be Busey fan numero uno!  Most school yearbooks sell for $5 to $35.

I'm afraid he's going to have to keep this one in his inventory for a while longer...

Jimmy Keeler

I Honorably retired from the United States District Courts, Southern District of New York, in 1996 , having a been fortunate to have a PROCLAMATION designating James E. Keeler Day named after me on June 7, 1996 upon my retirement from the United States Courts, there-after returned to Oklahoma in 1998.

Phil Brooks

As a 9th grader at Hamilton Junior High School, Phil Brooks was a member of the committee of students, faculty and administrators that picked Hale's school colors, school nickname, school yearbook name, etc.  In his senior year, he became the first all-state football player in Hale history and played in the all-state game in Oklahoma City.

Gary Busey is one of Hale's most famous graduates.  For Tulsan's, his claim to fame first came on local Saturday night TV as "Teddy Jack Eddy" on "Mazeppa Pompazoidi's Uncanny Film Festival and Camp Meeting".  He also toured as a musician with Leon Russell, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson before turning to acting. The son of a Native American father and an Irish mother, Busey was raised in Oklahoma, where he worked on a ranch and rode bulls. His movie career started in the

early 70's.  He has had parts in over 100 movies, including the lead roll in "The Buddy Holly Story". He has made numerous television appearances in everything from "Bonanza" to "King of the Hill", and had his own cable television series, "I'm With Busey".
